Willem Hendrik Zwart
Willem Hendrik Zwart, a son of the famous Jan Zwart, became very well-known as the great supporter of the protestant choral music.
He had a strong opinion about it, but also carried out his principles in an enthusiastic way.
He was organist in Coevorden and Groningen and from 1954 in Kampen. The Hinsz organ in the 'Bovenkerk' in Kampen was the instrument with which he would become so closely connected and which can be considered as the centre of his activities.
He was much asked as a concert organist and as such he gave many organ concerts at the organ of the 'St. Joriskerk' in Amersfoort in the sixties. The latter organ was also very dear to him.
In 1998 a volume of chorales about the 150 psalms was published. However, he could not complete the volume himself, so his son Everhard completed it for him.
