Jules Grison

Jean Baptiste Jules Grison was born in Château-Porcien, in the French Ardennes, in 1842.

He studied at the chapel of the Notre-Dame de Reims with Etienne Robert, the cathedral's chapel master.
At the age of 21, Grison became the organist of the cathedral. He became an esteemed recitalist, played numerous inaugurations in the area and far beyond and also gave concerts in the Palais du Trocadéro in Paris.

He died on 30 June 1896.
Grison's legacy embodies a great number of organ works, which were published by the French editor Costallat.
