
Jacobus Bonset
Jacobus Bonset received his education at the conservatorium in Amsterdam, where he studied a.o. by B. Zweers (composition).
Later, he studied organ by A. Pomper. Bonset, who was a composer, organist, director and pianist, became in 1911 organist of the Ronde Lutherse kerk in Amsterdam, a function which he exchanged for that of the Oude Evang. Luth. Kerk in 1923.
He wrote a.o. 2 sonatas and some choral fantasies for organ. Most well-known are his works for choir and piano.
