François-Clément-Théodore Dubois
François-Clément-Théodore Dubois won in 1861 the Price of Rome and became director at the Ste-Clotilde and later on at the Madeleine.
In 1871 he became a professor in harmony, a function to which at a later point organ and composition were added.
He composed a.o. operas, ballets, symphonic poems, music for orchestra and chamber music, and the oratorium Les Sept Paroles du Christ, Le Paradis Perdu.
