Arno Landmann

"An unsurpassable organ virtuoso" was Karl Straube's opinion on his pupil Landmann.
This musician, fascinated by the organ from an early age, also studied bassoon, piano and cello.
From 1911 to 1942 he was the organist of the great Steinmeyer organ of the Christ Church in Mannheim.
The friendly relationship with Reger was such that Landmann regularly discussed the interpretation of his organ works with him. Reger was delighted with his interpretation.

The variations on a theme of Handel were changed by Landmann several times, and they were published posthumously in 1977.
