
Willem Weijland
Willem Weijland became the organist of the 'Noorderkerk' in Ede at the young age of 16.
At the Amsterdam Conservatory he studied with Cornelis de Wolf, Anthon van der Horst, Sem Dresden and Hendrik Andriessen.
He gave many organ concerts, also in the 'St. Joriskerk' in Amersfoort.
Willem Weijland was active both as an organist and a choir master. In 1946 he was appointed as the organist and head of the Department of Music of the NCRV Radio. As such, he recorded his own Fantasy on the Evening Song and César Franck's Finale in the 'St. Joriskerk' in Amersfoort.
