Feike Asma
Feike Asma had a great love for the organ and organ music. This love made him go to extremes and also drew many people to love the organ, because of his highly personal style.
From a certain intuition he could live the possibilities of the organs he played and knew how to use the colours of these organs in his own characteristic way.
He studied with Jan Zwart until 1937, and he was only 25 years old when his teacher died.
Afterwards he did not study with anyone else and developed autodidactically. This may be why his personality came out in such a strong way.
